I have always loved everything I have ever read about Socrates and when I read this quote, the first thing that occurred to me is that he might think of autumn in the same way. I was just viewing what Athens was like at this time of the year and indeed, the colors were changing there as well in quite a spectacular way! I wonder what he would have taught us about this season?
