Why Fog Is Soooo Scary

Thought they don't always have to be set in fog, weather is incredibly important in ghost stories. As in suspense: you have to turn the screw very, very slowly.

I do wonder however if a stormy night is the same kind of thing, but in a different way! Each crack of thunder makes you jump instead of slowly scaring you.  I'm not sure which would scare me more now that I think about it!!

LOL... how many times have you mentioned the weather while talking to friends and relatives. I think that the topic comes up, every time I talk to my mom. If we run out of things to talk about, we talk about the weather.
