This brings back memories of our visits to my grandparents house on the highway. There was a great hill and all the cousins would slide down it on sheets of cardboard. Isn't it funny how you can  be bored at home (although I don't recall) but there was almost always something to do at Nanny and Grandpas!

A Sunday Morning Thought

It's Sunday morning and it's gorgeous out there!! It reminds me of summer holidays when I was a kid. The temps were hot, someone was always cutting the grass and all I could think about was piling into the car and heading to the lake to go swimming. It just doesn't get much better than that!! And even better, it's still May and summer has already arrived.

Just thought of something else that would make a summer afternoon just a little bit more special for your kids. Instead of tossing washing up liquid containers into the recycling bin, save them for a day just like the one pictured here. After lunch, let the kids fill them with water and squirt each other.

Good food, a hot day and water to play in... can you imagine a better afternoon that that?
