Where Everything Can Still Happen

I thought about that for a few minutes today and it occurred to me that THAT is what happens to the author with each book that she sits down to write... anything can happen. It's completely up to her.
I have just finished reading a 900 page book and while that might sound horrid to you... I couldn't put the book down!! I would have loved to watch her thought process as she considered what would happen to her heroine/hero.
