Have You Laughed Today??

"Laugh, I tell you and you will turn back the hands of time."
Suzy Kassem

It's been only a few days... but I laughed this morning!

Things to be curious about today...
*Go out and look around you. What have you never noticed before?

Friday

So simple but so ignored.

Sometimes just a little laughter is all it takes to turn your day around. Have you laughed today? My sister in law is always laughing. That's one of the first things I noticed about her when I last saw her. Hmmm, I need to laugh more. Today, I'm going to write down every time I laugh out loud. I wonder how often it will be??

Against the assault of laughter nothing can stand.
Mark Twain

Nothing shows a man's character more than what he laughs at.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in the doctor's book.
Irish Proverb

An onion can make people cry but there's never been a vegetable that can make people laugh.
Will Rogers

I am thankful for my laughter except when it comes out my nose.
Woody Allen

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.
Victor Borge

Laughter...
Who was the last person you laughed with? And I hope that it was today! Sadly, there will be many who haven't smiled in months. That just breaks my heart!!

I hope that I have given you something to think about today! Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Sunday

It Was a Laughter Filled Day

I ordered three "recordable books" for my granddaughter. Two worked and one didn't it. I wanted to send them with her granddad when he went on business the following morning so we wanted to finish them up so that they could be wrapped. We worked and worked and worked to record our voices... and nothing! We tried different voices, taking turns, using funny voices... nothing. A whole hour was wasted but suddenly we were all laughing so hard it didn't matter. The book never did work, but that hour was the most fun we had all day! ;)

That is the best - to laugh with someone because you think the same things are funny.
Gloria Vanderbilt

Thursday

Today's Project...

I am going to try to laugh exactly three times today. To be honest, I have no idea just how many times I laugh on any given day, but it's probably not enough. If I can manage 3 times easily, I'm going to go for 5x! Care to join me??:)

Laughter Quotes

I was reading somewhere that children laugh about 10x more than an adult does in any given day. That's really sad don't you think? I wonder when we stopped laughing and how do we get laughter back into our lives? I spent a little time looking for some quotes for you. :) Here's to a happy day for all of us.

Comedy is defiance. It's a snort of contempt in the face of fear and anxiety. And it's the laughter that allows hope to creep back on the inhale. Will Durst

With the fearful strain that is on me night and day, if I did not laugh I should die. Abraham Lincoln
Does anyone remember laughter? Robert Plant

It is impossible for you to be angry and laugh at the same time. Anger and laughter are mutually exclusive and you have the power to choose either. Wayne Dyer

Every blessed one of you feels better for that burst of laughter. Ivor Novello

If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans. Woody Allen

Everybody laughs the same in every language because laughter is a universal connection. Yakov Smirnoff

Live by this credo: have a little laugh at life and look around you for happiness instead of sadness. Laughter has always brought me out of unhappy situations. Red Skelton

For anyone who works in front of an audience there is no thrill quite like that of feeling and hearing the evidence of the audience members' enjoyment. Laughter and applause really are powerful. Randy West

Birthdays and Wrinkles

With mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come.
William Shakespeare

I like the mirth and the laughter part... the wrinkles no so much. Obviously I have some "growing" to do. When I looked at my grandmother when I was a child, her wrinkles were brought about by smiles! I have to remember that when I become a grandmother!!
