Why Fog Is Soooo Scary

Thought they don't always have to be set in fog, weather is incredibly important in ghost stories. As in suspense: you have to turn the screw very, very slowly.

I do wonder however if a stormy night is the same kind of thing, but in a different way! Each crack of thunder makes you jump instead of slowly scaring you.  I'm not sure which would scare me more now that I think about it!!

It might take a little time, but it does work.  My biggest fear, believe it or not, was using the telephone.  Knowing that I had to make a phone call, would start my heart pounding like there was no tomorrow!! I finally have it under control!
