I'm Getting Used To This

I was lucky enough to go home for Thanksgiving (I'm Canadian) and now that I live in the U.S. I get to enjoy another one. Did I luck out or what??  I'm  making new friends here and I have all of the family at home to spend the holidays with. And, did you know that a Canadian Thanksgiving and an American Thanksgiving is very different. For one thing, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October at home, so the weather is still quite warm, but here the minute Thanksgiving is over, we get to start Christmas shopping and all that Christmas has to offer. I can still remember the first year. I think that on Thanksgiving night... every Christmas light in the town was switched on!
