A Quotes For Your Christmas Cards

A Christmas candle is a lovely thing; It makes no noise at all, But softly gives itself away; While quite unselfish, it grows small.
Eva K. Logue

It's true what they say about Christmas

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.
Norman Vincent Peale

Can someone tell me why we don't choose and address our cards in January? When December rolls around, we could get the out with all of the decorations and put them straight into the mail. Makes sense to me... and no I have not done it yet, but I will do so in January of 2017!

Christmas at Harringtons!  Just in case you are running out of things to read, I highly recommend this one. It's by Melody Carlson and it is just the sweetest Christmas story ever!  And come to think about it, I'm in the middle of another one of her books... This one is called, "The Christmas Shoppe" and I'm about a quarter of the way through it.

I hope that I have given you something to think about today! Thanks so much for stopping by :)

Monday

I found a box

While sorting out the Christmas room, I came across a box of old Christmas cards that had been sent to us over the year. No, I can't bring myself to give them away and after 30 odd years, they tend to add up. So, I  found an old cd to use as a pattern and cut the pretty part of the card and wrote the name of the sender on the back. Every once in a while the name would show up on the back in their own handwriting and that was even better! I'm going to use them to decorate the tree... as if I didn't have enough already. But, these are special. There are a lot from the immediate family and I want those on the tree.  I think that on Christmas day, we will take each one of them and send a little prayer up to heaven.
