I have come to regard November as the older, harder man's October. I appreciate the early darkness and cooler temperatures. It puts my mind in a different place than October. It is a month for a quieter, slightly more subdued celebration of summer's death as winter tightens its grip.

I too like November, but perhaps not for the same reason as Henry above. To me it signifies the coming of Christmas and all the busyness that comes with it. Love it! I was just thinking about my father, and I have a feeling that he would look at the month in the same way as Henry... a time to slow down and simply enjoy the shorter days and warm drinks that Mom would make for him.
