I can still remember the long summer ahead the minute I got out of school. Okay, I'm talking about public school... by the time I was in high school, my ideas of summer fun had changed quite a bit. But from grade one to grade six, all I could think about was cones of french fries enjoyed on a summer evening... at .15 cents a cone and the afternoons spent at the lake, exploring with my best friend... I can remember one particular day, we decided to ride around the block on our bikes. Now if you live in the city, riding around the block might take you 5 minutes or so?? Well, we lived on a farm and to ride around the block took us the entire day! I arrived home exhausted, but what a great day we had... indeed, the living was easy... :)
