Walking Meditation Helps When You Are Selling Your House

This morning, I had no sooner finished washing the kitchen floor when guess who walks in from the front porch... with his shoes on. You guessed it. Hubby. He did try to make it up with some sloppy kisses, which did make me laugh, and he swore that he wouldn't forget to take his shoes off the next time he came into the house. I don't know where all the dust came from, but trust him to find it and leave foot prints all over my kitchen floor.  Well, he did make me laugh, I have to give it to him.  But I do find walking meditation is definitely the way to go when you are selling your house... just in case some of you are considering it.

Today's Update On Hubby and Our House

I don't know why one person can be so neat... me... and one person can be so messy... hubby. He has this habit of putting something down the minute he is finished with it and then just leaving it there. I'm trying to stay on top of keeping the house tidy so that when we get a call for a viewing... it will take just a few minutes to scan the house to see if anything is out of place.  I have no idea how I can convince hubby to return things to where they belong. It is as if he just doesn't think that way! This morning, I just picked up two items that he left on the Baker's Rack... who have nothing to do with baking! I am actually considering simply hiding the stuff that he leaves around the house and let him look for it.

Getting The House Ready To Sell

The house is nearly ready for photos... we worked like crazy getting everything situated, but I really need to find something for the yard. I did have a wooden barrel for flowers and at the time I thought that it was a good idea, but after five years the wooden barrel fell apart. The metal rings that was holding it together rusted away and it is now sitting in landfill. But I do want another barrel for the front porch. But it's going go be plastic... This looks pretty realistic and it will last forever...

We Are Going Home

The Real Estate Lady just left and all the paperwork has been done. We want to wait until it warms up and we can put out some flowers, but then... we are ready for people to check us out. We have never lived in the country before and have no idea how long it will take to sell a rural property. Here's hoping that we will be back in Ontario before the summer is out. Will keep you updated!
